Your site is 30′ x 60′, level, gravel-paved, and wired up with hardwired high-speed fiber-optic Wi-Fi that actually holds up when you’re working remotely or streaming after dark. With 50-amp electric, 30-amp adapters available, full hook-ups, and a certified RV technician right on-site, you’re set up for a comfortable stay whether you’re here for a long weekend or a long while.
Beyond your site, twenty wooded acres of pecan, cypress, cottonwood, and willow trees stretch out in every direction, divided into four sections each with its own fire pit, BBQ pit, and seating area. Wooden boardwalks wind through the wetlands and lead you straight down to the Guadalupe River, where guests have private access to one of the best fishing spots in the region. Pull in a perch, bass, or catfish from the bank, launch a kayak or paddleboard, or just find a shady spot and let the river do the talking.
The Community Room is fully stocked with a kitchen, shuffleboard, board games, laundry, and a book and video exchange. We also have a country store and propane on-site, a dog park, a playground, and security cameras throughout the property.
And when the urge to explore kicks in, you’re sitting in a sweet spot. Gonzales — the “Cradle of Texas Liberty” — is right down the road with Texas history around every corner. Head to Nixon for a cold margarita and some of the best Tex-Mex you’ll find in a small town. Or make a day of it in San Antonio, where the Pearl District alone is worth the drive. However you spend your days out here, River Acres is a mighty fine place to come home to.
