Palmetto State Park is about 15 miles west of River Acres, sitting along the San Marcos River just outside of Gonzales. It’s a surprising little park — 270 acres of tropical-looking vegetation, dwarf palmettos, and wetlands that feel nothing like the rest of Central Texas. Between the park itself and the newly revived Ottine Mineral Springs next door, this is an easy full day out. We had a very nice stay and the river was nice and clean! There are a lot of long-term residents which take up the shaded spots. So it seems that those who are visiting don't have an option and have to deal with the Sun beating down on your rv all day.

Booked our stay here for the Texas Water Safari and could not have been more impressed. Facilities were great but what really stood out was how nice and accommodating EVERYONE was. Over the top friendly and helpful! Highly recommend – will be my go-to for all future Safari’s

Very quiet and peaceful RV park with river access. Fishing, cicadas, nature walk and trails. The managers are super nice as well as all the residents. I’ve really enjoyed my stay.

Really enjoying our stay here so far! The campground is very peaceful and quiet, which has made it super relaxing. The location is great too , town is only about 13 minutes away, so it’s convenient without feeling crowded or busy. Definitely a nice spot if you’re looking for somewhere calm and relaxing! Full hookups, dumpster on site, propane on site, & even a river to fish on or swim if you prefer!

My wife and I absolutely love it here. The river is right out back, management is amazing, it's grounds are clean, have laundry rooms on site, community room has lots of games and books to read. So if you are looking for a place for a long or short term stay come to River Acres RV Park.

Very friendly staff and a great help when we had a very late check in, they came out in the middle of the night and helped us get set up!!!!

The Hosts were very friendly and helpful. The tent sites were very peaceful and quiet… They were right on the Guadeloupe River . RV sites and cabins were a short walk away from the river. We had only planned on staying 2 days but liked it so much there added 2 more!
