Step onto your covered porch and you’re already home. The River Acres cabins are warm, comfortable, and full of character — wood-paneled interiors, a full kitchen, an open living area, and a loft that makes the space feel a lot bigger than it looks from the outside. Both levels have covered porch space, so there’s always somewhere to sit with a cup of coffee in hand. Floorplans include 1 bed/1 bath and 2 bed/2 bath.

Beyond your front door, twenty wooded acres of pecan, cypress, cottonwood, and willow trees stretch out in every direction, divided into four sections each with its own fire pit, BBQ pit, and seating area. Wooden boardwalks wind through the wetlands and lead straight down to the Guadalupe River, where guests have private access to some of the best fishing in the region. Pull in a perch, bass, or catfish from the bank, launch a kayak or paddleboard, or just find a quiet spot on the water and let the afternoon flow by.

Back on the property, the Community Room is stocked with a full kitchen, shuffleboard, board games, laundry, and a book and video exchange. There’s a country store and propane on-site, a dog park, a playground, and security cameras throughout. Everything you’d need for a comfortable stay is already here.

And when you’re ready to explore, our location is prime. Gonzales — the “Cradle of Texas Liberty” — is right down the road. Crack open a cold one on a brewery tour in Shiner, soak in the mineral-rich waters at Ottine, or make a full day of it in San Antonio or New Braunfels.
